HEALTHY SPINE The use of stretching, Somatic Yoga and Pilates Moves for you core, to stabilize the back in proper alignment, so as to relieve pain and produce a more flexible body with more freedom of movement.  Welcomes all persons with issues of back, hips and shoulders.

MAT PILATES  A unique system of stretching and strengthening exercises developed over 90 years ago by Joseph Pilates. It strengthens and tones muscles, improves posture, provides flexibility and balance, unites body and mind, creates a more streamlined shape by working core muscles. This class is done with a mat in place of a reformer.

Yoga The use of various poses to provide strength, stamina, flexibility and balance with attention to alignment of the spine. The poses build a strong body and core as well as increase vitality through relaxation. Yoga poses (asanas) are often linked together in a flow (vinyasa) moving with the breath.

Yoga Flow  Yoga flow or vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement,” and Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. Vinyasa movements are smoothly flowing and almost dance-like, which explains why it is sometimes referred to as Vinyasa Flow or just Flow.

Restorative Yoga The positioning of the body in yoga postures using props and supports, in order to relieve the effects of chronic stress.  Moves the spine in all directions, alters hormone levels, soothes the organs, balances energy, so that the receiver is neither over-stimulated or depleted.  Specialty Class

Thai Yoga Massage  A dynamic bodywork therapy in which the practitioner guides the recipient through a series of yoga postures, while palming and thumbing along the body’s energy lines and pressure points.  Together these actions result in a treatment that relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune system and balances the body energetically. Specialty session scheduled with Janie W.

Specialty Suspension Yoga Small Group (limited to 4 students):  Yoga/Pilates based moves with the body partially or dully supported by the swing.  Choreographed to flow.  Improves strength, flexibility and alignment.  Works core! Specialty Class

Specialty Classes may be offered both monthly & seasonally.  All Mind Body classes will be listed on the Mind Body schedule and posted in Current Promotions.
