A unique system of stretching and strengthening exercises developed over 90 years ago by Joseph Pilates. It strengthens and tones muscles, improves posture, provides flexibility and balance, unites body and mind, creates a more streamlined shape by working core muscles.
The use of various poses to provide strength, stamina, flexibility and balance with attention to alignment of the spine. The poses build a strong body and core as well as increase vitality through relaxation. Yoga poses (asanas) are often linked together in a flow (vinyasa) moving with the breath.
Yoga flow or vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement,” and Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. Vinyasa movements are smoothly flowing and almost dance-like, which explains why it is sometimes referred to as Vinyasa Flow or just Flow.
